Meet Sara
Sara Al-Bayati is a painter from Basra, Iraq. Her work moves between quiet moonlit landscapes and bold, textured abstracts full of colour. Every painting on So Sara's is an original work, signed by Sara and made by hand in her studio.
The journey of a painting
From a feeling in Sara's studio to a story on your wall.
- 01
A feeling
Every painting begins with something Sara wants to say: a colour, a memory, a face, or the light of an evening by the water.
- 02
Layers and texture
With brushes, palette knives and her hands, she builds the canvas up layer by layer until the colours glow.
- 03
Signed by Sara
When it is finished, Sara signs the work before it leaves her studio.
- 04
On your wall
Carefully wrapped and boxed, it travels from Basra to your home, where it takes on a life of its own.
